What is the Neighborhood Association?

We organize meetings, connect residents to local services, support public safety efforts, promote civic involvement, and plan events that build neighborhood pride and connection.
When is Dumpster Day?
Dumpster Day has always been a favorite event in Alger Heights—but here’s the reality: for the past several months, the entire Neighborhood Association has been a skeleton. While we’ve heard from several neighbors who are excited to help (thank you!), Dumpster Day won’t happen this year unless more people step up to get involved.
Events like this only happen when the Association is active and supported—it’s not sustainable for one person to manage it alone.
When are the meetings held?
We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM, typically at Seymour Christian Reformed Church (840 Alger St SE).
